 Anti-Malaria Project
The Wentworth Africa Foundation recognizes that in Africa, one child dies every 30 seconds from malaria. The foundation supports malaria prevention and has actively participated in some key programs, such as Outside Edge’s “One Net One Life” campaign. The campaign is led by a unique African missionary, Mr. Kingsley Holgate, whose objective is to carry a Scroll of Peace and Goodwill to 33 countries, while donating mosquito nets to those in regions where malaria is prevalent.
2000 Nets
On May 16 & 17th 2008, in cooperation with Outside Edge, AAF and employees of Artumas Group volunteered their time to distribute more than 2,000 mosquito nets, valued at $10,000, to expectant mothers and women. We demonstrated how to use the mosquito nets to educate them on their proper use. The project was a huge success, but demand far outweighed our supply.
